Jarrett Christmas

Today we got to spend the day with family. Aunt Lisa and Uncle Steve drove in early this morning so we all got to spend some time watching Ava Kate open a few presents early and play with her new toys. Mommy loves her new tea set that teaches about manners and even has a voice with a British accent- too cute! I might be more excited than her about all the tea parties in our future! She also got a baby stroller that is also a walker and she even took a couple of steps alone with it. I think somebody is going to be on the move very soon. We all had fun with her colorful nesting blocks and Ava Kate loves to knock them down of course. We got to stop by and visit Aunt Rita and her family on the way to the annual Jarrett Christmas party. Ava Kate got to play with some of her cousins at Aunt Rita's and of course she was fascinated with her puppies.

As always we had a lot of fun at the Jarrett Christmas party and since this is an annual event I made this our advent activity for the day! Good food, lots of laughs and Ava Kate got lots of fun gifts from our family. She had a blast playing with all of her older cousins, she is by far the baby now since the next youngest cousin is Joey who turns 11 this week. You can only imagine all the attention she was getting and again she was a real trooper and stayed up until 10pm again and was just as happy as could be. Not only did she get to experience her first Jarrett Christmas but she also got to experience Uncle Steve's costumes for the first time. Just about every year Uncle Steve surprises us with a new costume at the party and this year was one of the funniest yet, none other than Queso Grande! She was not quite sure what she thought about him but she was brave and let mommy get a picture of her with him.
