9 Months Old

My Little Lovey,
I cannot believe you are already three quarters of a year old and about to celebrate your first Christmas! I have had so much fun with you this month doing our advent activities and enjoying the holiday season with you. I love the look of wonder in your eyes. This has been a big month for you! You had your first Thanksgiving, got the flu, said daddy and hi (you still only say mamaw when you are crying), started crawling backwards, started trying to pull up on everything, took your first steps alone with your little walker toy and today you crawled for the first time! Wow it has been a busy and exciting month for you! It is amazing to see you grow and change and learn and take in so much every single day. You do lots of funny little things like pretend to be shy with new people and even people you know very well, you bury your head in my chest and give a little bashful look. You are babbling more and more and trying to make words. You still love people and try to engage anyone that walks by in a store, restaurant, etc. You still love bath time and like to splash in the water. You love to dance and as soon as someone says the word dance or you hear music you start bobbing that head and bouncing those legs, mommy loves this! You are mesmerized when there is music and especially dancing on TV and you especially love to watch the Fresh Beat Band. You have had lots of fun using your walker to get into some of the Christmas decorations especially the glass balls in the vase on the entry table. You have learned that we do the advent everyday and if we walk by the advent tree and you notice it you start kicking your feet with excitement if we don't stop for you to pull out one of the activities. Speaking of kicking your feet, that is a good way to judge your level of excitement because when you are revved up about something those little feet start kicking. You still love to eat and you still choose veggies and anything cheese over fruits and sweets, that definately is a mommy thing because we all know what a sweet tooth your daddy has! You are getting more and more hair, finally, and it is curly and we love those curls!!! In fact your Nana has been praying you would get little ringlets like I had when I was a baby and looks like her prayers are being answered. You still aren't much of a napper and only take about 30 minute naps. We are so excited to celebrate this Christmas with you! You continue to bring an abundance of love and joy and pure delight to our hearts every single day! I still look at you often and can't believe my dream finally came true and as always with God it was far better than I could have ever imagined! I love you funny bunny!

Mommy
