Christmas in Bedford

This year the Jarrett family Christmas was at Aunt Linda and Uncle Jerry's house in Bedford. Friday when we got in we grabbed a bite to eat and headed over to Linda and Jerry's for the evening. We always have our family Christmas with Aunt Lisa, Uncle Steve, Grandma and Grandpa the weekend of Jarrett Christmas as well. We got to share our advent reading with all of them on Saturday morning before we exchanged gifts. Ava got some fun gifts like a puppy pillow/blanket, a plate with a face on it that you use food to accessorize, a pretty dress and matching coat, a puzzle and a Xylophone. We did a little shopping Saturday morning. Then we spent the rest of the day visiting with all the family and eating entirely too much yummy food! Aunt Linda is the hostess with the mostess and outdid herself as always with a huge spread each day. Ava got all kinds of great gifts from everyone and lots of singing, talking, dancing stuffed toys which she was not too sure about. She would shake her head and say "No, no, no" when we would turn them on and as soon as I would turn it off she would clap her hands and say "Yay!" It was good for several laughs! After the kids opened their gifts, the dancing began! By the time we got back to the hotel Saturday night, Ava was so ready for bed we skipped her bath and she actually asked to go night, night. We even got to go back for a little more family time and a yummy breakfast the next morning. As always it was a lot of fun, food and family!
