Snow Day 2011

Everytime there has been a chance for snow or ice lately I've been hoping for a snow day! Yesterday we finally got one and it was the coldest, biggest snow day I can remember. We got 6 inches of snow and temperatures stayed in the teens all day. We started off the morning with biscuits, gravy, bacon and eggs followed by some arts and crafts projects. Ava did a little painting while Justin and I worked on some decoupage frames for Valentines. We watched several of Ava's favorite movies, took a long cozy nap, baked homemade chocolate chip cookies and even ventured out in the snow for a little while. I put on a pot of beans, some greens, potatoes and cornbread for dinner and we polished it all off with some snow ice cream for dessert! And we get a repeat today!
