The Final Countdown to Christmas

The final countdown to Christmas is on...

We've been learning about the various names of Jesus.. He is the Good Shepherd, our protector which I have taken great comfort in the last week

Somebody is trying to sneak a peak of his presents a little early

One of my favorite traditions... making goodies and delivering to our neighbors

After about the third house of delivering as I was instructing Ava Kate to say "Merry Christmas" she turned around and said "I'm really good at this!"  What a mess!

But she really did love giving out the goodies to our neighbors and that night as we laid in bed told me how good it felt to give someone something!

Buddy decided bedtime was a good photo op!  She thought it was sweet that he had his hand on her head!

We grabbed some Starbucks and looked at Christmas lights which were kind of pitiful after the ones we had seen in Houston the weekend before!

We learned that Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches and the importance of our staying connected to Him.

Buddy thought it would be funny to turn our milk different colors!

An old and favorite tradition, baking Christmas cookies.

And this year we had a tea party with our cookies!

We read about Jesus being the light of the world and how He can take the darkness inside of us away, so very thankful for that!

We found Buddy reading the Christmas story to the nutcrackers!

We learned Jesus is the Bread of Life and He can give us the strength and energy we need each day and this often sleep deprived mama says amen to that!
