This weekend we all piled in the ACU Tennis Bus aka Bubba and headed to Houston for the annual Jarrett family Christmas! We weren't sure if we were going to get to make it this year, the kids had both been sick, because of Christmas being on a Tuesday the party was a week earlier this year which meant Justin and Ava both had to miss school Friday but in the end we made it and we are all glad we did. Grandpa was our driver and the rest of us entertained the kids on the trip. Friday night Grandpa was sweet enough to drive us into Houston to eat at Torchy's Tacos and then he drove us around River Oaks to see all the over the top Christmas lights! Saturday was a full day of activities. We got up and went to see Aunt Rita for a while, then we headed to Kemah to meet Justin's sister and her husband Steve to do our little family Christmas together. We exchanged gifts, had some yummy seafood and took the kids for a ride on the Kemah train. Then we headed to the Brown's house for the big family gathering. The kids loved seeing everyone, playing with the animals at their house and opening presents and we all enjoyed all of the yummy spread of food, maybe a little too much! Sunday we piled back in Bubba after a late breakfast and headed home. It was a quick trip but totally worth it!
