Leaves!!!

Friday after school we had a fun afternoon playing in the beautiful leaves that are finally falling!  Ava Kate and I had fun making leave piles and jumping and hiding in them while Jett had fun pushing around the rake!

   

City Sidewalks 2012

City Sidewalks has become one of our favorite Christmas activities and I will say has been improving over the years.  Ava Kate has ballet on Tuesday nights so it kind of worked out perfectly that we were already downtown for that and just walked from ballet to the parade.  They loved all the lights and the horses are always a favorite.  It was fun to see friends on floats and Mr. Cale's cool VW van.  And face painting is always one of Ava Kate's favorite parts of the night.  It was fun that Grandma is living in town now and got to go with us.  And our darling little bear made it through until the last few minutes of the parade and then he crashed!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas Around Here

I used to try and wait until December 1st to decorate for Christmas but this year a sweet little girl started asking when we were putting out our Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving so the Sunday of Thanksgiving break we decorated the house and had our annual Christmas Tree night.  Ava Kate was a big helper this year and loved the nativity which is also my favorite Christmas decoration.  Jett of course thought every round ornament was a ball and has already broken a few from throwing them.  Nana and Pop came over and had snacks with us and reindeer M&M cookies while we decorated the tree and watched Elf!
