Saturday we got to go to an ACU basketball game. Grandma was in town for the weekend too. Ava is not a fan of Willy the Wildcat and made sure she knew where he was at all times. The biggest treat was getting to see Ethan's big TOTS debut! He was precious and did a great job dribbling, rolling and tossing his basketball!

Warm Winter Day
We recently have had some warm winter days and Martin Luther King day was one of those. Justin had the day off so I decided to take off too so we could have a fun day together. We spent the morning being lazy in our PJ's, got in an AOS class at the gym and then we headed to the park. We had a picnic lunch, played at the playground and then took Ava to feed the ducks! I love these unexpected warm winter days we get!

Happy Birthday Pop!
We got to celebrate Pop's birthday this month. Ava LOVES her Pop! He is definately one of her favorite people. She talks about him all the time, everytime the phone rings and you ask her who it is, it's Pop! I think Pop is pretty crazy about Ava too! I love their sweet relationship. Ava and I are both blessed to have Pop in our lives. He is a kind, tender, funny, loving, sacrificing, hard working man who always made me feel loved, safe, provided for and special! We wuv ooh Pop!

A New Year, A New Look
I got on a decorating kick this past week, I think it was the combination of the cute decorative pieces my sister got me for Christmas, the extra time I had on my hands, the bargain of the year bedding I found and the new year that inspired me. I took on two room makeover projects, my bathroom and our bedroom. We have had the same bedding since we got married over 8 years ago and I had been looking at getting a new set. Last spring I found one I liked at Dillards for $300 but wasn't sure I wanted to spend that much, I'm sure glad I didn't because I found it at their incredible New Years Day sale for $44! The new bedding inspired a bedroom makeover and I'm so happy with the turnout, nature and earthy theme with feminine accents! My sister gave me the cutest canvas that says Today I'll Be Happier Than a Bird with a French Fry and I decided it definately belonged in my bathroom which in turn inspired a bathroom makeover. I'd never been very happy with the paint color in the bathroom and decided to go with a soft shade of grey and I love it! A few funky accessories and a new shower curtain to go along with it and voila a new "Anthropologie-esque" bathroom which I love getting ready in!

Happy New Years!
We got to spend New Years Eve with 4 of our favorite people, the Phelps and the Muzechenkos! We started off with dinner at the Beehive and didn't even mind the hour long wait because it was more time for visiting. After dinner we all came back to our house for drinks and dessert, Stephanie's yummy buttermilk pie and my first attempt at chocolate chunk bread pudding. We had a lot of laughs at each other's expense playing Dance Central on the Kinect! There are photos but I was told I could not post them so you'll just have to use your imagination! I love these sweet friends and can't think of a better way we could have spent our New Years Eve!
