Fly Away Butterflies

For Christmas, Nana got Ava Kate a butterfly garden. We finally sent off for our caterpillars and they arrived this month. So we watched for a few days as the caterpillars turned into chrysalis and then we transferred them to the butterfly garden dome. Then we got to watch them turn into beautiful butterflies. Ava Kate loved watching them change! She picked some flowers and put some sugar on them for the butterflies to eat on. After about a week of keeping them in the garden we decided it was time to let them go. She got to take each one out and let them fly away!
