4 Months
Baby love, how is it that you are already 4 months old? You are at such a fun age right now! Poor little guy, you’ve had reflux but even still you’ve been a pretty easy going baby. You are still not sleeping through the night and really don’t have much of a schedule at all. Hopefully we will be fixing that in the next month or two. You really seem to be enjoying staying with Mrs. Lucy. I come in to get you and you are often cooing and smiling at her or the other babies or kids. I’m so thankful that you are happy there and adjusting well. You have really discovered your voice lately. Although you’ve been cooing for a couple of months now you are getting much more vocal and using more inflections and volumes with your voice and those sounds just melt me! You seem to be starting to teeth because you are a drooly monkey and you always have your hands in your mouth (as you can see in some of the photos below)! Like your sister did, you love your changing pad and you especially love the print with the animals on it that hangs above it. Sometimes when you are crying we’ll lay you down on it and you start laughing at it while still crying. It is the funniest thing! You laughed out loud at your big sister the day which filled this mama’s heart with great joy! A sweet moment I’ve been looking forward to. It is fun to see you two interacting more and I pray you two have a special bond as you grow up. You have started leaning when you are wanting someone to hold you. You also are trying to sit up by yourself. You finally seem to be feeling better after having been sick for a few weeks. In fact everyone in our family is healthy at the moment, praise the Lord! It was a new challenge for me to have a baby right in the middle of flu and cold season and worrying about my sweet baby getting sick. You had your 4 month check up and shots this month and you weighed in at 15lbs 11ozs and 24.5 inches long which put you in the 70% on weight and 60% on height and the doctor said you have a big head but that is okay so does your daddy, mommy and sister so we knew you would. You tolerate tummy time for a little while but it definitely isn’t your favorite thing. You haven’t started rolling over yet but you seem to be trying to. You love to be upright so you can see what is going on and watch everyone. You still like your swing and we also got out big sister’s teapot exerciser which you also seem to enjoy playing in even though it is pink and covered in tea pots. You love bath time now, we usually just sit you up in the kitchen sink and you think it is funny when we splash the water. You definitely like to be held and you seem to be more of a home body than your sister was. You seem your happiest and most comfortable when we are at home. You are a sweet roly poly with precious dimples and a contagious cackling laugh and you melt me with your smiles and snuggles! I love you my baby love!
